Life drawing - 19/11/14

We started with a few quick drawings today working several poses on the same page, then moved on to more detailed studies. Thoroughly enjoyable as always!

I can't draw feet and hands, so I decided to concentrate on feet and hands!

I love life drawing!!!

Although I'm not overly happy with some of the work I produced today, I still really love life drawing classes and these are the first nude sketches I've done for a long, long time. The first pencil sketch was a 20 min pose and I used a graphite pencil. The next three were 10 min poses drawn with charcoal.

I loved doing these last two pages so much. The top ones were 3 minute poses and the bottom ones were 1 minute poses, all drawn in pencil with one continuous line. I felt that compared to the regular way I sketch, these were so much freer and seemed to have much more movement to them, particularly the 1 minute ones. I'm looking forward to doing some more quick sketches like this in the future.
