LIfe Drawing 04/03/15

Who'd have thought life drawing could get any better?! Today we experimented with paint, ink, sponges, paintbrushes, toothbrushes, bottle brushes and scouring pads! Very exciting!

Some quick warm-up sketches in charcoal

Longer pose applying paint with a toothbrush, scouring pad and paintbrush

Frame and more detail added using watered down paint on a sponge and ink applied with a stick

 

A few more touches added in ink with a paintbrush and stick

 

These next few sketches were made by standing with the paper on the floor and applying ink with a paintbrush taped to a long stick. Great fun and I'm really pleased with the results.

 

 

This last piece was a joint effort with my classmates. We each had 30 seconds to work on a piece before moving onto the next person's work. So by the end of the session we all had a piece of artwork which had been worked on by the whole class. Loved it!
